When I hold a piece of Chaga, I look at it as if through the eyes of a child and sometimes I smile at the wonder of it. Looking into the Chaga I see the sunshine, the strength of the Birch tree and the great mother Earth.
Without the sunshine the Birch tree cannot grow. Without the Birch tree the Chaga cannot grow. Without mother Earth nothing can grow. That is why the piece of Chaga I hold in my hand is such a wonder of life. It is there for all of us. We have to be there for it.
