Wild Canadian Chaga Chunks

(Organic, Third-Party Tested)

Unlock the Wisdom of the Forest

Wild Canadian Birch Chaga Inonotus obliquus — raw, unprocessed, and harvested with care in the Canadian Boreal tradition.

Beyond its deep, earthy flavor, Chaga has a long history of traditional use in northern and boreal cultures, where it was prepared slowly as a tea using whole pieces harvested from birch trees.

Learn more about the history and traditional context of Chaga in our Chaga overview.

Traditional Preparation for Chaga Chunks

Chaga chunks are traditionally prepared by slow simmering in hot water over extended periods, a method long practiced in northern cultures.

This gentle method reflects historical preparation practices and allows for a deep, concentrated tea.

Quality product

"We ordered the chaga chunks and have been using it for approx. 1 month. We have one cup of chaga towards the end of the night, about 2 hours before bed. The chaga has help keep the inflamation at bay, along with the health benefits - lower cholesterol. We have been using chaga for approx. 7 years and is a great way to rid the body of any free radicals, lowering cholesterol, etc. We would recommend as an everyday healthy choice and for those fighting illness."

Q&A

How many chunks are in a bag
Lot's 170g worth :-)
I just finished purchasing The chunks for Tea and wondering how long one bag will last?
one bag of large chaga chunks typically lasts about 1 month; keeping in mind that chunks can be brewed multiple times extending there usage and value. Check out our [brewing directions](https://www.annandachaga.com/pages/chaga-mushroom-tea-brewing-directions) for more details
How much does the bag of Chaga weigh?
We have several package sizes to choose from. 2oz / 70g, up to 227g or 8oz. Each product page indicates the size in the description area.
How many times can you use the chaga chunks?
Chaga chunks can be reused 3 to 5 times or until they no longer yield a dark tea. Let the color and taste be your guide when it's time for fresh chaga. See our [brewing directions](https://www.annandachaga.com/pages/chaga-mushroom-tea-brewing-directions) for more information
Does the tea made from Chaga chunks help relieve joint/arthritic pain? Is there a combination that would be more effective to reduce pain?
Yes, Chaga does help with pain relief. The Chunks are great for making tea and offer the most value as you can re-use them many times. Two cups of chaga tea per day is recommended. Chaga Tincture is especially good for arthritic and joint pain. 2 dropper pulls into each cup of chaga tea daily. Taking both chaga tea and tincture together is recommended for maximum benefit.
