Why do we harvest here? The resilience is in the struggle. The Chaga mushroom thrives in the extreme temperature fluctuations of the Sault Ste. Marie region. As the mercury drops to -30°C, the Birch tree and the Chaga sclerotia enter a survival state, concentrated with melanin and antioxidants. This "Boreal stress" is what creates the potent, high-chromogenic profile found in our extractions.

We don't just take from the forest; we listen to it. Every piece of Chaga is wild-harvested by hand in the Algoma District, following ancient principles of reciprocity. We ensure the host tree remains healthy, allowing the forest to continue its cycle of healing for generations to come.

Our facility at 123 March Street is a strictly controlled environment. To remain in full compliance with Ecocert Organic standards and Health Canada procedures, our extraction lab is dedicated solely to production and is not open to the public.
This controlled setting ensures that every mushroom—from the wild birch to the final bottle—maintains the highest level of medicinal purity and organic integrity.
