Traditional Soap Making Takes Time
At Annanda, we make our Chaga Mushroom Soap using the traditional cold-process saponification method, a time-honoured way of crafting true soap from carefully selected oils and natural ingredients.
Unlike commercial cleansing bars that can be produced quickly and in large volumes, traditional soap cannot be rushed. After each batch is made, it must cure slowly for several weeks before it is ready to use.
From start to finish, a single batch of Annanda Chaga Mushroom Soap takes at least one month to produce.
We believe quality takes time, and every bar reflects that commitment.

What Is Saponification?
Saponification is the natural process that transforms oils into soap through a carefully controlled chemical reaction.
For centuries, soap makers have relied on this method to create cleansing bars from simple ingredients. Today, we continue this tradition using plant-based oils, shea butter, and organic chaga mushroom extract.
When the process is complete and the soap has fully cured, the finished bar contains no residual lye and is ready for everyday use.
Small-Batch Canadian Craftsmanship
Every batch of Annanda Chaga Mushroom Soap is handcrafted in Canada in small quantities.
We never rush the curing process because curing helps create a harder, longer-lasting bar with a rich lather and exceptional quality.
Each bar is carefully crafted using:
- Olive Oil
- Coconut Oil
- Castor Oil
- Shea Butter
- Organic Chaga Mushroom Extract
- Pine Essential Oil
The result is a forest-inspired soap suitable for hands, face, body, and beard.

Why Our Soaps Were Discontinued
Many customers have asked why our soaps disappeared for the past year and a half.
As demand for Annanda's mushroom products grew, we invested heavily in expanding our mushroom production and processing operations. With limited production capacity, we made the difficult decision to suspend soap production so we could focus on meeting demand for our core mushroom products.
Although the soaps were discontinued, customers never stopped asking for them.
We received countless emails, messages, and requests from customers hoping to see their favourite Annanda soaps return.

Back by Popular Demand
Because of overwhelming customer demand, we have begun bringing select soap products back into production.
Our first return is the beloved Chaga Man™ Natural Mushroom Soap, produced once again in small batches using the same traditional soap-making methods.
Due to the time required to handcraft and cure each batch, quantities remain limited and availability may vary throughout the year.
Every batch requires at least four weeks to make and cure before it is ready for use.
We are grateful for the support and patience of our customers and look forward to gradually expanding our soap offerings once again.
